The Active Nutrition Product Recommendation Quiz is a feature built into the USANA Shop experience designed to help your customers quickly and easily decide which Active Nutrition products are right for them based on their health goals and dietary restrictions.
Customers on USANA Shop can access the Recommendation Quiz through ads, product detail pages, product informational pages, and other locations throughout the site.
Research shows that even short interactive tools within the shop experience can enhance the buyer’s connection with the brand and help them make purchase decisions.
How the Active Nutrition Product Recommendation Quiz Works
The Recommendation Quiz asks a short number of questions based on the Active Nutrition products available in your market. These questions are designed to highlight products that are most relevant to your customer’s healthy living goals and to eliminate options that would not be beneficial to them. The quiz should take less than a minute to complete.
Question 1: What is your main priority when looking for products to support your healthy living habits?
Why we are asking: This question tells us which category of Active Nutrition products is most likely to fit within the customer’s goals.

Why we are asking: This question tells us how much Active Nutrition product to recommend for one month and will eliminate some products from the recommendation depending on the customer’s answer.
Choices:
- I want help jumpstarting or restarting a new healthy routine.
- I want help with my long-term transformation.
- I want support in maintaining my current healthy habits.
- I want to support my digestive health.
Question 3: How often do you exercise?
Why we are asking: This question tells us whether we will recommend the electrolyte drink and how much.
Choices:
- Every day or almost every day for at least 30 minutes.
- Two or three times a week for at least 30 minutes.
- I don’t have a consistent workout routine just yet.
Question 4: Do you have any digestive issues?
Why we are asking: This question tells us if we should recommend any specific digestion products.
Choices:
- Bloating
- Gas
- Irregularity
- Irritable Bowel

Question 5: Do you have any dietary restrictions?
Why we are asking: This question tells us which products we can and cannot recommend.

How the Active Nutrition Product Recommendation Quiz Results are Presented
Once your customer completes the Recommendation Quiz, they will see a list of their recommended products. The information the customer sees includes:
- a picture of the product
- the name of the product
- a short description of the product
- recommended usage for a one-month time period based on the customer’s answers
There is an “add to cart” button next to each product so the customer can choose which recommended products they would like to purchase. They can also select the quantity they would like. After they complete the quiz, they can continue shopping, or they can checkout.
Recommendation Quiz Best Practices
The Active Nutrition Product Recommendation Quiz is a great way for your customers to quickly and easily understand which Active Nutrition products are right for them. Customers can choose to interact with the tool on their own time, with or without guidance. Here’s how you can use the tool in your USANA business.
- Always share USANA with customers using your Personal USANA.com Website. The Recommendation Quiz is built into USANA Shop, so your customers will see it when they enter the Shop through your website.
- You can also send customers directly to the Recommendation Quiz using the Recommendation Quiz Share Link. When you are logged in, find the Share Link button at the top of the Recommendation Quiz landing page. Click the button and copy the unique URL that appears. Share that link with others to make sure you receive credit for any sales resulting in the customer completing and purchasing USANA product from the link. You must use the Share Link to receive credit for sales.
- Talk about the benefits of the Recommendation Quiz. Some customers may not feel comfortable talking to you about their personal health goals. If they know they can answer a few short questions on your website and receive product recommendations, they may feel better about trying USANA’s products. Tell them:
- The Recommendation Quiz will only ask you five easy questions.
- It recommends products that meet your personal dietary needs.
- The results will be emailed to you, so you don’t have to make a purchase decision right away.

Q. Why are some products not included in the quiz?
A. The Active Nutrition Product Recommendation Quiz is meant to feature the products under the Active Nutrition category in each respective market. In addition, our core health product, the CellSentials, are an essential part of any healthy living routine, so this product may also be recommended.
Q. Why does the Recommendation Quiz collect the customer’s email address?
A. We want to send the customer their results right after they complete the quiz, just in case they are not ready to buy the products in that moment. If they decide to buy at another time and visited the quiz through your personal website, they will still be connected to you, their Associate. You will receive credit for the sale. Secondly, it will allow USANA to send a follow-up email to the customer to remind them about their results or send them additional emails about other new products or promotions in the future. As long as they visited the quiz through your personal website, you will receive credit for any sales resulting from the follow-up emails.
Q. Will I be notified if one of my customers takes the Recommendation Quiz?
A. This feature is not available at this time. This functionality is planned to be included at a later date to help you grow your business.

A. Not at this time. We plan to include this functionality into the tool at a later date to help you grow your business.
Q. How come USANA doesn’t have quizzes that include other products?
A. We are planning to develop more interactive Shop features in the future to help your customers find the products best suited for their needs.
Q. How can I best share the Recommendation Quiz with others?
A. Share the Recommendation Quiz by sharing your Personal USANA.com Website with potential customers. You can also send interested customers directly to the Quiz using a Share Link. Log in to USANA, then go to Shop and navigate to the Product Recommendation Quiz. Click the Share Link button at the top of the Quiz page and paste the unique URL into a text message, email, or a social media platform. Sharing in this way ensures you will receive credit for any purchases resulting from customers interacting with the Quiz and your USANA Shop.
