Skin Deep or www.cosmeticsdatabase.com

We are familiar with this Web site and have given it careful consideration. USANA signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics in 2005 to show our commitment to safety, though we do have some concerns being connected to its corresponding sites. We cannot officially endorse these Web sites and politically motivated information contained on the sites. We are also not in full agreement with the science and analysis behind them. For example, its database rates known allergens like comfrey and other herbs as no risk, while synthetic ingredients in general are rated adversely. It also assigns hazards to minerals and other ingredients that have no relevance to the way they are used in personal care products. As such, we would not recommend using these sites to promote our products.

USANA reviews all relevant and necessary materials and research when formulating products to ensure safety, efficacy and compatibility. Because of our thorough research upfront and testing of final products by licensed dermatologists and ophthalmologists, our customers can be assured that we have done our due diligence with regard to safety and efficacy.

Athlete Sponsorship Process

USANA typically becomes aware of athlete sponsorship opportunities through Associates in the U.S., Canada, and other countries. If an athlete is interested, they can apply for product sponsorship.

To apply, athletes must fill out the sponsorship form. This form can be found at www.usanaathletes.com by selecting “Join USANA Athletes.”

Completed applications are taken before a review board that considers the nature of the request, how much product is requested, the level of competition of the athlete, what the opportunity is for USANA to help the athlete improve their health, and the potential ability for the partner Associate to take advantage of business-building opportunities as a result of the relationship.
