When we say elite, we mean it. No other word can possibly explain the amazing reward our top income earners get every quarter. We call it the Elite Bonus because that’s what it is—the best reward for the best of the best.

And here’s how it works:

Earn a Bonus as a Top Income Earner
Each quarter, the top 20 income earners of USANA India at the beginning of that quarter will receive a share of 1% of our total Sales Volume Points (SVP) earned. The amount you can earn depends on your earnings from the current quarter and the absolute growth in Commission Volume Points (CVP) you achieve in the current quarter over the previous quarter.

Income and Growth Shares
The Elite pool is divided into 45 shares—30 for growth and 15 for income. The qualifying Associates earn a number of “income shares” and “growth shares” as follows:

  • The number of income shares is determined by the proportion of income an Associate contributes to the total income of the 20 Associates.
  • The number of growth shares is determined by the proportion of growth an Associate contributes to the total absolute CVP growth of the 20 Associates.

Example

Suppose our total Sales Volume for this quarter = 55,30,00,000 SVP
The Elite Bonus pool = 1% of 55,30,00,000 SVP or 53,30,000 (INR)

Rules

  1. In ranking the top 20 income earners, all sources of income in the previous quarter (commission, Leadership Bonus, global contests, etc.) will be included. However, any Elite Bonus earned in the previous quarter will be excluded.
  2. Growth is measured by the absolute CVP growth versus the corresponding quarter’s value. Only the basic commission (CVP) is measured—all other income (Leadership Bonus, front-line commission, Elite Bonus, etc.) is excluded.
  3. If an Associate’s income registers a negative growth, the growth amount will be considered zero when calculating the total growth.

    Suppose Beli from the example on the Elite Bonus main page achieved a negative growth of 15,50,354 INR this quarter. The Elite Bonus will work out as follows:

  4. An Associate must be compliant and in good standing with their Associate Agreement and Terms & Policies to be eligible for Elite Bonus.
  5. If for any reason one or more of the top 20 income earners becomes ineligible to receive the Elite Bonus, the Associate ranked immediately below will be moved up to replace them.
  6. In the case of a tie in income earned in a quarter, the Associate with the higher growth will be placed ahead of the one with the lower growth.
  7. In calculating income shares and growth shares, the number of shares will be rounded to two decimal places. Please note the number of individuals participating in the Elite Bonus may increase as sales increase. The number and frequency of individuals to be added has yet to be calculated.

FAQ

Q. How do I earn the Elite Bonus?
A. You must rank within the top 20 income earners among all USANA India Associates for one quarter. A quarter is a 13- or 14-week period as determined by USANA.

Q. How much is my Elite Bonus worth?
A. You earn a share of the Elite Bonus pool, which is 1% of USANA India’s Sales Volume Points (SVP) in a quarter. The value of that pool depends on USANA India’s sales, and your exact share depends on your actual earnings this quarter and the absolute CVP growth you achieve this quarter over the previous quarter.

Q. How is the value of my shares calculated?
A. This is based on two factors: your growth and relative earnings. The formula is calculated as follows:

SVP multiplied by Elite Bonus pool percentage divided by 45 (30 for growth and 15 for income).

For example, suppose USANA’s total Sales Volume for the quarter is 55,30,00,000 SVP SVP. The Elite Bonus pool is 1% of 55,30,00,000 SVP or 53,30,000 (INR)

Q. What happens if my CVP this quarter is lower than that of the previous year?
A. If your growth is negative, you earn no growth share for the quarter. The impact is a larger share for everyone else who does grow. (See Rule #4 for example.)

Q. Does my Leadership Bonus count toward my quarter’s income and growth shares?
A. It does for your income shares. For growth shares, USANA uses only the CVP you earn from your weekly base commission, i.e., what you earn by balancing the volume on the left and right sides of your Business Centres.

Q. Does my Elite Bonus count toward my income when determining income shares in the next quarter?
A. No, the Elite Bonus is always excluded.

Q. Are there any conditions I need to meet to qualify for Elite Bonus?
A. The same conditions for earning the Leadership Bonus apply to earning the Elite Bonus.

Q. What happens if an Associate in the previous quarter’s top 20 becomes ineligible for Elite Bonus?
A. Everyone moves up a rank and one more Associate is added.

Q. What happens if there is a tie in income earned in a quarter?
A. The Associate with the higher growth in the previous quarter will be qualified.

Q. Why does USANA reserve the right to increase the number of participants in the Elite Bonus when sales grow?
A. The Leadership Bonus will broaden the base of participating Associates as the company’s sales grow. For the Elite Bonus, this provision allows more top performers to benefit as USANA grows as well.

FAQs

Q. How do I earn product credits?
A. For every USANA product purchase you make, you’ll earn 10% of the total product purchase amount back in product credits on your account, not including shipping and taxes. Product credits are not earned on logo merchandise or sales tools.

Q. How will I know if I have available credits?
A. Reminders are displayed in the USANA shopping cart and checkout, as long as you are signed in. USANA also sends email and SMS notification reminders to those who opt in to receive them.

Q. How are credits applied to a purchase?
A. Credits can be applied at checkout. You choose if you’d like to use your product credits at the time of payment. Any credits used are automatically removed from your account. When placing an order through customer service, they can also apply credits toward your purchase.

Q. Do credits expire?
A. Yes. Product credits expire after three months. You’ll be sent a reminder for product credits about to expire to give you every opportunity to use them. Stay consistent with your healthy routine by using your credits regularly and continuing to earn additional product credits for your new orders.

Q. If the credit amount is higher than the order amount, do I lose unused credits?
A. No. Unused credits remain available for future purchases. Credits can be used for up to three months after they are earned.

Q. Are all products available for purchase using USANA product credits?
A. USANA Nutritionals and Active Nutrition products earn product credits. Logo merchandise and sales tools are excluded.

Q. Can I earn product credits for orders in which I’ve applied product credits? 
A. Yes. Product credits are earned on the product cost. Tax, shipping, and any product credits used for that purchase are excluded.

Q. Can product credits be applied toward tax or shipping?
A. No. Product credits cover the cost of products only. They cannot be applied toward taxes or shipping.

Q. Do I lose credits if I return products?
A. Products can be returned under our standard return policy. If a product was purchased using product credits, these credits will be reissued to your account. The initial expiration date for these credits will still apply. Any product credits issued for a product purchase that was subsequently returned will be removed from your account.

Q. Is the USANA Loyalty Programme available to retail customers? 
A. No, the USANA Loyalty Programme is available to Preferred Customers, Affiliates, and Associates.

Q. Do I have to do anything to sign up for the USANA Loyalty Programme? 
A. Preferred Customers, Affiliates, and Associates are automatically enrolled in USANA’s Loyalty Programme. You’ll start earning product credits with your first USANA purchase.

Q. When will my product credits be available to use? 
A. Product credits are generated when your product order is completed and can be used immediately on future orders.

Q. Am I taxed on the initial product order amount, or the amount I pay after the product credits are applied? 
A. Tax is based on the product purchase price before product credits are applied.

Q. For Associates: How do I select the Business Centre my order and subsequent product credits should be applied to?
A. At checkout, look for the section titled Business Centre Placement. Choose your desired Business Centre and the side you want the order placed in, including if you want to place it in your 001 Business Centre: Personal. If you select this option, the order will count toward your commission qualification.

Q. For Associates: Can I use my product credits for my personal product orders each month? 
A. Yes! Product credits can be used for your personal product orders in your 001 Business Centre and count toward your monthly commission qualification. Be sure to select 001 Business Centre and Personal Business Centre placement at checkout.

Q. Will I receive both a refund and voucher reinstatement if vouchers are used on more than one order?
A.  Yes. You’ll receive a cash refund for the amount paid, less the amount of the voucher/s used and, if applicable, a voucher reinstatement. If subsequent orders are returned, cash refunds and/or voucher reinstatements are based on payment.

Example:

  • You place an order on Friday, September 1 for INR 500 and receive a voucher for INR 50.
  • You make a second purchase for INR 30 on September 8 and use the above voucher to pay for this order, leaving you with a voucher value of INR 20.
  • On September 15 you make a INR 300 purchase. You pay using your INR 20 voucher and  INR 280 in cash. This earns you an additional voucher of INR 28.

What happens if you return all (or a portion) of these orders:

  • You return your entire first order totalling INR 500 on September 19 (within the 30-day return policy). You’ll receive a cash refund of INR 450 (total amount paid, less the INR 50 voucher you received and used).
  • If you then return your entire second order on September 25 (within the 30-day return policy), you’ll receive a cash refund of INR 30 because this order was paid in full using your voucher.
  • You return INR 180 of your third order totalling INR 300 on October 4 (within the 30-day return policy). You’ll receive a INR 180 cash refund from your third order and INR 12 cash refund from your first orders voucher (INR 100 cash reimbursement and INR 20 for voucher used). Your INR 28 voucher amount will be lowered to INR 11 (minus the INR 17 earned from the INR 180 cash reimbursement received)

Rules

Earning Credits

  • A 10% product credit is earned on personal USANA Nutritionals and Active Nutrition product orders in India.
  • Product credits are not earned for logo merchandise and sales tools purchases.
  • Product credits are based on the total product price, excluding shipping and taxes.
  • Product credits are issued once the order is completed.
  • Product credits expire after three months. Stay consistent with your healthy routine by using your credits regularly and continuing to earn additional product credits on your next orders.
  • Product credits are earned on orders where product credits are used. Credits are based on the product cost, excluding tax, shipping, and any product credits applied.
  • Preferred Customers, Affiliates, and Associates can review product credits available by signing in to USANA Shop and visiting their cart or continuing to checkout.
  • Product credits can be applied to any Business Centre.

Using Product Credits

  • Use 100% of your earned product credits toward your purchase.
  • Product credits are non-transferrable and can only be used on personal orders in India.
  • When using product credits for your order, USANA applies the maximum amount.
  • Any product credits remaining after your purchase will stay on your account until your next order or until they expire.
  • Product credits are applied oldest to newest for all orders.
  • Product credits can be used to purchase USANA products, product promotions, and specials. Logo merchandise and sales tools cannot be purchased with product credits.
  • Credits cannot be used for taxes or shipping.
  • Products purchased with product credits can be returned through our standard return policy.
  • Returned product where credits were applied to the purchase will have the product credits reissued to your account—the initial expiration date for those credits will still apply.
  • Product credits can be applied to any qualifying order and placed in any Business Centre selected at checkout.
  • USANA, at its sole discretion, may disqualify any Preferred Customer, Affiliate, or Associate from participating in the programme, refuse to award credits, and require the return of any credits if the Preferred Customer, Affiliate, or Associate engages in any conduct USANA deems to be improper, unfair, or otherwise adverse to the operation of the programme.
  • USANA reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes at any time.
  • USANA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the programme at any time.
  • By participating, each Preferred Customer, Affiliate, or Associate accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of USANA, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

Leadership Bonus

We love putting more money in your pocket. And the Leadership Bonus gives us the chance to do just that. Each week we pay our top leaders a little something extra—or in some cases, a lot extra.

With Leadership Bonus, qualified Directors and above earn a cut of 2% of India’s commissionable sales each week. And that’s on top of what you make in regular commission payments and other bonuses.

Pretty amazing, right? Well, it is. And here’s how it works.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for participation in the Leadership Bonus, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Director or above.
  • Remain active by generating at least 35 points in Personal Sales Volume (PSV) for all your Business Centres during the current four-week period.
  • Be available to your team by phone or other means of communication.
  • Actively train and supervise your team.
  • Do not participate in any other network marketing company.

How to Qualify
You qualify to earn one share of Leadership Bonus for every Business Centre you maximize (3,000 SVP Left and Right). You build your business the way that works best for you. And the Leadership Bonus qualification gives you similar flexibility.

At this time and through 2024, there will be no additional qualifications for this bonus. Additional qualifications may be added after 2024.

How to Calculate Shares
The amount of your Leadership Bonus is determined by the number of shares you earn, which is done by maxing Business Centres (BC). Think of the 2% bonus pool as a pizza. Each share is a slice of the pizza, and the more shares you earn, the more pizza you get. Only instead of pizza, it’s cash, which is way better.

As a qualified Associate, it’s all about maxing BCs. You earn one share per maxed BC.

The value of shares is determined each week by taking the 2% Leadership Bonus pool and dividing it by the total number of qualified shares. So if the pool was INR 1,65,02,000 and there were 1,000 shares between all the participating Associates, each share would be worth INR 16,502.

How It All Began – Meet Dr. Wentz

Inspired by an obsession with nutrition and health, Dr. Myron Wentz founded USANA in 1992.*

Dr. Myron Wentz is an internationally recognised microbiologist, immunologist, and pioneer in the development of human cell culture technology and infectious disease diagnoses. In 1974, he founded Gull Laboratories, where he worked with human cell cultures and spent decades keeping them healthy and free from degeneration.

This work led him to realise it takes more than simply providing cells with vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to keep them healthy—they need the right nutrients, in the right form, and in the right amounts.

He recognised how inadequate nutritional supplements were when compared to what he was feeding the cells in his laboratory—which led him to create USANA. The name comes from Greek and Latin roots that mean “True Health,” embodying Dr. Wentz’ vision to create the healthiest family on earth.

30 Years of Successful Science
Inspired by Dr. Wentz’ legacy and an obsession with cellular health, our research and development team is comprised of more than 150 scientists with backgrounds in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, pharmacy, genetics, and sports science.

They are shaping the future of nutritional technology in partnership with world-renowned research institutions and through collaboration with third-party research institutions to research and validate products before they are developed. Today, we manufacture products in both the U.S. and other countries, including India.

We’ve spent the last 30 years perfecting nutritional supplements and technologies to address overall health. And all of this started from one man’s determination to support healthy cells.
