We’ve just arrived in India, but we’ve been expanding across the globe—pursuing our vision of creating the healthiest family on earth—for over 30 years. Over the past three decades, USANA has sparked innovation, achievement, and change. And we want to share our story with you.

1992:

  • USANA is founded on an obsession with cellular health by Dr. Myron Wentz, an internationally recognised microbiologist and immunologist. His vision is to help everyone live healthier, happier lives through advanced nutritional supplementation.
  • USANA was founded on four core principles:
    • Health
    • Excellence
    • Integrity
    • Community

1996:

  • Canada opens its doors as USANA’s first international market.
  • USANA moves to its new corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City (now the Home Office), complete with labs and manufacturing facilities.

1997:

  • The first company to be voted “Distributor’s Choice” for Best Company in NetWork Marketing Today and the MLM Insider magazine.

1998:

  • Australia, New Zealand, and the UK markets open.
  • USANA surpasses US $100 million in sales.

1999:

  • USANA garners first athletic partnerships with U.S. Speedskating and Speed Skating Canada.

2001:

  • Dr. Wentz creates Sanoviv Medical Institute, an oasis of health that combines functional medicine, cutting-edge diagnostics, and nutrition, in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico.

2002:

  • USANA-sponsored U.S. and Canada speedskaters compete in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games.
  • Children’s Hunger Fund partnership established.

2004:

  • Multimedia production expands company brand, recognition, and expertise.
  • Revolutionary USANA Sensé skincare unveiled.
  • The Wentz Medical Centre and Laboratory opens in Uganda.
  • Mexico market opens.

2005:

  • Sensé makes the pages of Prevention, Shape, and Self magazines.
  • 39 athletes from USANA-sponsored teams compete in the Torino Winter Games.

2006:

  • Sony Ericsson WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) Tour names USANA its official health supplement supplier.

2007:

  • Malaysia market opens.
  • NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) International certifies USANA manufacturing practices and select products.
  • Founder Dr. Myron Wentz receives Albert Einstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Life Sciences.
  • Utah Best of State Awards recognises USANA for Best Dietary Supplements for record fourth year and as a first-time winner for Personal Care Products.

2008:

  • MyHealthPak, a fully customisable supplement pack, is introduced.
  • Rev3 Energy drink and Whey Chocolate Nutrimeal launch.
  • Chelated Mineral, Mega Antioxidant, Procosa II, Proflavanol90, Active Calcium, and Body Rox receive NSF International’s Certified for Sports certification.
  • USANA is a founding member of the Climate Registry.

2009:

  • Philippines market opens.
  • Nutritional Hybrid Technology introduced.
  • Team USANA wins 22 medals in the Vancouver Winter Games.

2010:

  • USANA expands into China with BabyCare Ltd.
  • Official health supplement supplier for the Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team and USSA athletes.

2012:

  • France, Belgium, and Thailand markets open.
  • USANA True Health Foundation (now The USANA Foundation) established.

2013:

  • Colombia market opens.

2014:

  • Team USANA collects 30 medals at the Sochi Winter Games.
  • USANA wins more than 100 awards in manufacturing, marketing, PR, and business practices.

2015:

  • Indonesia market opens.

2016:

  • Kevin Guest becomes CEO.
  • USANA Athletes grows to more than 1,000 athletes.
  • InCelligence Technology introduced.

2017:

  • Officially named a billion-dollar company.
  • Sets Guinness World Record for “Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Scientists” at Global Convention.
  • Athlete-approved products expand to include LGC-tested USANA Probiotic, Booster C 600, and USANA Vitamin D (U.S. formulas).

2018:

  • Kevin Guest releases his book All the Right Reasons and donates all proceeds to the USANA Foundation.
  • Romania, Italy, Germany, and Spain markets open.
  • Celavive skincare featuring InCelligence Technology launches.

2019:

  • USANA Kids Eat formed.
  • Celavive is featured in Vogue.
  • USANA North manufacturing facility opens.
  • USANA X Spartan makes USANA the official nutritional partner of the Spartan Races.

2020:

  • Landmark U.S. patent granted for InCelligence Complex formula featured in CellSentials supplement.
  • Corporate Sustainability department introduced and the first ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Corporate Sustainability Report is released.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion council created.

2021:

  • Garden Tower initiative announced by USANA Foundation following success in Kenya.
  • Active Nutrition—a foods line to activate your goals and fuel your body—is introduced.
  • 265 USANA Athletes participate in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Games, securing a record 100 medals; and 9 USANA Athletes participate in the Paralympic Games, securing 13 medals.

2022:

  • USANA signs deal with University of Miami Athletics­­­­—its first North American collegiate partnership.
  • USANA celebrates its 30th Anniversary and hosts its first-ever hybrid Global Convention.

2023:

  • India market opens.

What Matters Most
Because of our commitment to successful science, we’ve come a long way in the past 30 years. We’re a U.S.-based company, but we’ve expanded internationally and manufacture products in the U.S., China, and now India.
