Spam in Your USANA Email Account

USANA’s Email service provider, Zimbra, does have security and filters in place to help reduce spam. The security settings should filter out most spam. Unfortunately, spammers change their settings continuously and sometimes can break through. You can report spam, or “junk,” by selecting the items and clicking on the “Junk” link.

Unable to Compose or Forward in USANA Email

There is a limited amount of space (1GB) available in the USANA Email. If your mailbox is too full, you may be unable to compose or forward messages. We suggest that you clean out your mailbox, folders, and trash. This should resolve the issue.

If you continue to have difficulty, please contact customer service at mailto:CustomerService@USANAinc.com and they will be able to assist you further.

Useable Space in Your USANA Email Account

Associates are allotted 1 gigabyte (1GB) of space in their USANA Email account. Space used in all folders (including Trash and Sent) will count toward the total space allotment. Please be sure to delete messages in the Trash folder periodically to maximize the space you have available to use.

The address book is included in the 1 GB of space allotted to your email box.

Steps for USANA Email Setup

The first time you access “Email” under the “My Account” icon  at the top right-hand side of the page on The Hub, you will be taken to the main page of email. Your default usana.com e-mail address will look similar to  1234@usana.com.” From there, you will want to personalize your e-mail address:
  • Click on the “Change Alias” link on the left side of the page
  • and a pop-up window will appear
  • Enter the name you would like for your e-mail address
  • Click “Submit new alias”

The name you enter must be unique from other usana.com accounts and cannot contain any spaces or special characters. If the name you pick does not meet these criteria, you will get a message telling you so, and you will need to select another name. If everything is OK, you will see an “Alias is currently enabled” message.

Your account has 1GB of space. To maximize your useable space, be sure to delete mail you do not need from you Inbox as well as from your Trash folders. You will find an “Empty Trash Folder” link in the Trash folder that will allow you to clean out this folder.

The email in the upper right-hand corner of the page will not change over to the alias; it will remain the ID#@usana.com (ex. 12345@usana.com).

Using the Carbon Copy (CC) and Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) Options in the USANA Email

You can “Carbon Copy (Cc)” recipients by placing their e-mail addresses in the “Cc” field. “Carbon Copy (Cc)” sends a copy of the message to the designated recipients whose e-mail addresses are included in the “To” field and the “Cc” field.

You can “Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc)” recipients by placing their e-mail addresses in the “Bcc” field. “Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc)” sends a copy of the message to the designated recipients whose e-mail addresses are included in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields. However, recipients of the message cannot see other recipients’ addresses that are included in the “Bcc” field. Anybody whose e-mail address is in the Bcc field will receive the e-mail with the impression that the e-mail was only sent to them.

Please be sure to separate multiple e-mail addresses included in these fields by a comma.

USANA Email Use with Outlook

USANA email can be integrated with Outlook utilizing a POP3 or IMAP address. Set your SMPT server to the same email server (mail.usana.com) as your POP3 or IMAP settings. You will also need to set your username and password the same for authentication.

Using a POP3 setting simply makes a copy of the mailbox everywhere it is accessed, but does not synchronize with the server so that changes, such as deletions, can be made.

Using a IMAP setting will synchronize with the server and allows you to see the version on the server and make changes, including deletions.

While USANA does support SSL encryption for an Associate’s incoming mail in Webmail (POP/IMAP), we do not support it for outgoing (SMTP) email.

USANA Email

One of the best ways to stay connected in your business is with your own USANA email address (i.e. yourname@USANA.com). Use it to connect with potential Associates, reach out to customers, and stay in touch with your team.

Associates receive a USANA.com email address with a Business Accelerator Suite subscription. Easily access your webmail on The Hub or via mail.USANA.com using your USANA Associate ID# and password.

Please note: USANA email does not support eFax or other fax services. All emails older than six months are automatically deleted.

To help protect your personal data, it’s a good practice not to use your email account as an information repository. Take time to regularly download essential emails and documents to your personal device. See this user manual for more information.
