Purge Accounts

There are a couple of reasons why USANA purges inactive accounts: By purging accounts, USANA can keep the tree of Associates from being overloaded with data that is no longer in use. Purging also keeps the system clean to run faster and more efficiently. Once a month, USANA may purge accounts of customers that have made no purchases in the previous 12 months, which is why all customers have 12 months to return or exchange products.

Also, USANA may purge from the system Associate and Affiliate accounts that have not made purchases within four Friday’s from the date they enrolled. This is to remove accounts set up in error.

Preferred Customer Placement

All sales, whether they be retail or to Personal Customers (PCs), must be properly credited to the individual who actually generated the sale to avoid downline purchasing. Downline purchasing occurs when an individual is credited for a sale that he/she did not actually make and thus earns a commission on a sale that he/she did not make. Not only is this a manipulation of the compensation plan, but it also raises issues relating to pyramid schemes.

Although you cannot place your own retail sale in another Associate’s business or attach your own PC to another Associate, it is possible and sometimes advisable to give a PC to a member of the team or refer a retail customer to the member of the team. But in doing so, the customer will be counted as a customer of that member of the team, not your own.

All Associates are required to meet certain sales requirements to earn commissions, including the five retail/PC sales each month requirement. A PC you give to a member of your team will not count toward your own sales requirements but rather to the Associate to whom he/she is attached. With that said, it still could be a wise business decision to give your PCs to members of your team, after you have comfortably fulfilled your own sales requirements, as a motivational tool for your team.

Placement Change Process

To make a placement change, please refer to section 27 of USANA’s Terms & Policies.

Personal Information

Personal information such as PIN number and password are not distributed to anyone other than the account holder.
The only e-mail address given out for an Associate is the e-mail address of a Gold Director or above in their direct upline team. Other than that, all e-mail addresses are treated as personal information. Instead, we will give an Associate the e-mail address of the person asking to be contacted. It would be up to the Associate to respond back. Personal information is strictly guarded.

As long as you remain an Associate, you may not remove your personal information from Team Manager.

Payment Refusal

If a customer refuses to pay for legitimately ordered products, the distributorship will be placed on a collections hold and could be involuntarily terminated. USANA has the option of hiring an outside collection agency to collect the debt, reporting them to one or more of the credit reporting agencies and/or taking further legal action.

Other Multilevel Marketing Opportunities

For information regarding USANA’s policy on other multilevel marketing opportunities, please refer to section 20 of USANA’s Terms & Policies.

Opening Business Centers

The sale of any USANA products generating 100 Personal Sales Volume points (over an infinite amount of time) will open one Business Center.

The sale of any USANA Products generating 200 Personal Sales Volume points (within 13 Fridays of enrollment) will open three Business Centers.

A Business Center is not qualified to earn commission until it is opened.

Friday Rule

Not a US Citizen, But Have a Visa

USANA does not provide legal advice on these matters. USANA requires that the individual be a resident of the country, eligible to work and provide a Tax Identification Number (TIN) such as a Social Security Number (SSN), Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). If the Visa in question allows for this, then the individual can enroll as a Brand Partner with USANA. If there is any question, we recommend the individual contact the issuer of the Visa to verify that they can conduct business.
