Protecting Your Business with Updated Terms & Policies
At USANA, we’re here to help you build a successful, safe, and compliant USANA business. To achieve this, we strive to ensure our Terms & Policies are frequently updated and you and your team are made aware of any important changes.
Below is a list of recent updates to USANA’s Terms & Policies for you to review and share. We strongly encourage everyone to read the full changes here.
Policy 9—Associate-Created Material:
- All Associates can create content and advertise after completing an online certification.
Policy 11—Income and Lifestyle Representations:
- Find a more specific explanation for what qualifies as an Income Claim or Lifestyle Claim.
Policy 17—Intellectual Property:
- See additional guidelines for the use of USANA’s name in social media handles.
Policy 20—Service Outlets:
- Kiosks are now excluded from the approved locations where you can sell USANA products.
Policy 21—Unauthorised Recruiting and Participation in Other Direct Sales Companies:
- The Unauthorised Recruiting section and Participation in Other Direct Sales Companies section are now combined in this section.
- Those who participate with another Direct Sales Company will not be permitted to qualify for recognition benefits or transfer their business.
- Associates are prohibited from promoting the products or business opportunities of Direct Sales Company to USANA Associates or customers.
- Associates must notify USANA within five (5) business days of enrolling in any other Direct Sales company.
Policy 26—Transfer of the Agreement:
- More extensive instructions and conditions for transferring a USANA business are included.
Policy 28—Sponsor/Placement Changes:
- Sponsor/placement change wait times are consistent. Changes will happen six months after inactivity or cancellation.
Policy 31—Authorised Sales:
- Associates are only permitted to sell products to end consumers. They cannot sell or transfer a quantity of products greater than what an individual can personally consume in a four-week rolling period.
Policy 34—Babycare:
- In China, business activity by non-BabyCare Distributors is specifically prohibited.
Policy 40—Return Policy:
- The expiration requirement for non-returnable products was shortened from six months to within three months of expiration.
These new policies will go into effect on 24 August. This gives you time to familiarise yourself with the updates and share them with new or potential Associates on your team. You’ll see a prompt to accept these new policies when logging in to The Hub.
