NSF Certification

NSF is an independent organization that helps protect consumers by certifying products and writing standards for food, water, and consumer goods.

USANA has voluntarily obtained additional third-party verification of GMP status. Since 2006, USANA’s Salt Lake City, Utah, manufacturing facility has been certified to be in compliance with NSF/ANSI Dietary Supplement GMP requirements set forth by NSF International. According to NSF, “GMP registration reflects a continued commitment to ensuring quality and satisfaction and gives companies confidence that their organization operates in conformance to established GMP.”

Hybrid Technology

Bringing the Future to You

Think about all of the greatest technological advancements through history: the wheel, the telephone, the invention of flight… After landing on the moon, it seemed as if technology couldn’t be pushed any further—until USANA took the next step toward the future of your health.

It always feels great to be the first, but as of the announcement at the 2010 International Convention, USANA was the only company in the industry to take advantage of Nutritional Hybrid Technology (NHT). NHT was so new and groundbreaking, it’s difficult to imagine what might come next.

What is Nutritional Hybrid Technology?
USANA’s innovative Nutritional Hybrid Technology is a state-of-the-art approach to formula design and manufacturing. NHT features bilayer tableting: the separation of various formula ingredients into two distinct tablet layers. For the first time, incompatible ingredients can be combined in a single tablet, and key nutritional ingredients can be visually highlighted in distinct tablet layers.

USANA’s Nutritional Hybrid Technology opened the door to accelerated innovation in supplement design and manufacture, and USANA is proud to be the first in the industry to utilize it.

What USANA products use Nutritional Hybrid Technology?
Replacing Proflavanol, Proflavanol 90, and Poly C, USANA’s Hybrid pill Proflavanol C100 will make your life a little easier by lessening the number of pills you need to take without sacrificing any of the nutrients you need.

Hepasil DTX also received the Hybrid treatment and is now available in MyHealthPak.

Global Convention Event Policy for Children

USANA’s Convention is a business meeting with a focus on networking, training, and motivation. We want to minimize distractions and disturbances for all attendees.

Our policy is as follows:

  • Children over the age of 16 are allowed in all areas and are required to be paid attendees with an ID badge.
  • Children under the age of 16 will not be issued an ID badge or allowed admission into the Executive Lounge, but are permitted in general sessions, all common areas, and most activities. Should the child become disruptive or distracting during any session, workshop, or activity, the parent or guardian and child will be asked to leave the area.

Although USANA does not provide daycare services, there is a Parents’ Lounge in the Salt Palace Convention Center that is available for children under the age of 16, when accompanied by an adult.

USANA Products Covered Under Health Insurances

Each health insurance carrier is different in their coverage regarding nutritional supplements; one would need to check with their carrier for their specific coverage. If USANA’s products are covered under a health insurance carrier, the products would need to be paid for at the time of purchase, and then a claim filed with the carrier and reimbursed.

Product Pricing and Volume Differences by Market

USANA has a fixed rate in each market, so the prices of products stay constant when the market rate fluctuates. All of these add up to the cost of doing business and impact the price USANA is able to offer on a product. Product prices may differ by market. Due to these factors, simply comparing one market’s product price with the price of the same product in another market using the current exchange rate is an inaccurate way to compare pricing by market.

In some instances, USANA is able to adjust the value of the product volume to achieve the best price possible on a product. When this happens, you may see a volume amount difference if you compare the same product’s volume in a different market.

Product Pricing

Before pricing our products, we do our research to ensure that we not only supply the finest quality products, but at the best price possible. There are many factors that go into pricing: research, formulations, raw materials, costs associated with batch size, manufacturing, packaging, transportation, commissions, regulations, inflation, taxes based on the market, etc. All of these add up to the cost of doing business and impact the price USANA is able to offer on a product.

Product Changes or New Items

USANA will notify Brand Partners through The Hub, e-mail, and/or social media posts about product changes or when new items are released.
