Auto Order Discount

USANA’s given you a way to save even more. When you set up an Auto Order—the shopping option formerly known as Autoship—and allow it to process automatically as part of a weekend-processed order, you’ll get 10 percent off the Preferred Price!

This Auto Order discount applies to all products that generate Sales Volume Points,† which means you can save even more on many of your favorite USANA products.

†Except enrollment packs and promotional packs, since they already have a built-in discount

Discount on Auto Orders FAQ
  1. How does Auto Order work?
The 10-percent Auto Order savings only apply to orders that process automatically as weekend-processed orders; these orders must be from your 001 Business Center placed as Personal Sales Volume (PSV). To get the Auto Order savings, your orders must be set up in advance so they can process automatically. To do this, we encourage you to set your Auto Order at least one week before it is scheduled to process.
  2. How do I take advantage of the 10-percent Auto Order savings?
The Auto Order savings will be applied to all applicable products that are placed in an Auto Order ahead of time and allowed to process automatically as part of a weekend-processed Auto Order.
  3. What products qualify for the 10-percent Auto Order savings?
Products that have a Sales Volume Point value greater than zero will receive the Auto Order savings. Products that do not generate SVP (sales tools, logo merchandise, etc.) and products already receiving a built-in discount (initial order product packs and promotional packs) will not receive the Auto Order savings.
  4. Do I still get the 10-percent Auto Order savings if I choose to pick up my weekend-processed order at Will-Call, instead of having it shipped to my home?
    Yes.
  5. How can I place the Sales Volume Points generated by my Auto Order to my second or third Business Centers?
Volume from Auto Orders only go to your Business Center 001 as Personal Sales Volume. They help you qualify for commissions, but do not add to the Group Sales Volume on the left or right side of your Business Center.
  6. What if I call and have Customer Service add products to my existing Auto Order?
You will still receive the 10-percent Auto Order savings as long as you call far enough in advance to allow your updated order to process automatically. Auto Order changes must be completed online prior to midnight MST/MDT or by close of business through customer service the Friday before the Auto Order is scheduled to process.
  7. How long does it take for an Auto Order to process automatically?
It depends on when you set your Auto Order to process. If you are setting up a new Auto Order, it will not be able to process automatically during the current commission period. If you make changes to an existing Auto Order, the changes must be completed online prior to midnight MST/MDT or by close of business through customer service the Friday before the Auto Order is scheduled to process.
  8. What if I already have a reoccurring Auto Order that processes automatically—do I have to do anything to receive the additional 10-percent Auto Order savings?
No. You will automatically begin to receive the savings on qualified product.
  9. Do initial order product packs or discounted packs qualify for the 10-percent Auto Order savings?
No. Since most of these packs are already receiving a built-in discount, they do not qualify for the Auto Order savings.
  10. Will Preferred Customers receive the 10-percent Auto Order savings?
Yes. The same rules for Auto Order savings apply to Preferred Customer orders as they do to Associate orders.
  11. Is there a minimum order value (e.g. 100 Sales Volume Points) before I can receive the 10-percent Auto Order savings?
No. You will receive 10 percent off automatic weekend-processed orders of any value, as long as they contain qualified products.
  12. Do I get the 10-percent Auto Order savings on additional orders I place during the week if I pay using the same payment method?
No. You would receive the Preferred Price without the 10-percent Auto Order savings. The Auto Order savings only apply to the orders that are fulfilled automatically during USANA’s weekend batch processing.
  13. Does the 10-percent Auto Order savings lead to a 10-percent reduction in the volume points of the order?
No, the volume points of the order remain unchanged.
  14. Will I receive 10 percent off my Auto Order shipping fees?
No. The Auto Order savings only apply to products that have a Sales Volume Point value greater than zero. Business tools, logo merchandise, renewal fees, and shipping fees will not receive Auto Order savings.
  15. I have set up a recurring Auto Order. Will I automatically get the 10-percent Auto Order savings every four weeks?
Yes, as long as you allow that Auto Order to process automatically.
  16. Why don’t I see the Auto Order price on the USANA Price List?
We no longer list Auto Order prices separately on our Price Lists. Instead, a single Preferred Price is listed, and the 10 percent savings will be applied to total product order amounts placed ahead of time for automatic processing by USANA. This simplification makes our pricing structure easier to understand.

Friday Rule

Starting on their application date, Brand Partners have 13 weeks (13 Friday’s) to open 3 Business Centers.

The 13 Friday’s start on the first Friday the Brand Partner signs up.

If the Brand Partner signs up on a Friday, then that day is their first Friday.

If the Brand Partner signs up on a Saturday, the first Friday would be the Friday of the following week.

PSV Requirement to Remain Active

Personal Sales Volume (PSV) is used to qualify an Associate to earn commissions after activating:
1 Business Center (BC) – 100 SVP placed in an Associate’s 001 BC in a four-week rolling period
2 or more BCs – 200 Sales Volume Points (SVP) placed in an Associate’s 002 BC in a four-week rolling period

If, at any time, an Associate’s PSV falls below the minimum requirement to remain active, the Associate will no longer be eligible for commission checks or bonuses or to advance in rank. The Associate will also lose any Rollover Volume, and he or she will not rollover any volume until re-activating the BC(s). The Rollover Volume will start again at zero.*

Orders placed in the 001 BC do not generate Group Sales Volume (GSV), and any amount of SVP over the minimum needed to meet the PSV requirement is not automatically moved to another Personal Sales Position (PSP) and cannot be separated into another placement to be counted toward commissions.

If an Associate desires to place orders that will generate more than the 100 or 200 SVP needed to remain active outside of their 001BC, the Associate can place these orders separately in a PSP position in the right or left legs attached to the 001 BC (001L, 001R, or below).

Orders placed in PSP positions or other BCs and orders placed by a PC (Preferred Customer) do not generate PSV; they generate GSV.

PSV Requirement to Open Business Centers

Opening One Business Center

To open one Business Center and begin earning commissions, you’ll need to generate 200 points in Personal Sales Volume. You can generate the required volume through a single order for your personal use and/or for your customers, or it can be accumulated through many orders—just remember, your Business Center won’t open until you generate enough Personal Sales Volume. The name of your first Business Center is BC1.

Opening Three Business Centers

To open three Business Centers (BC1, BC2, and BC3), you must generate 400 points in Personal Sales Volume within your first six Fridays as a new Associate. Failure to generate the required volume will result in the loss of your second and third Business Centers (BC2, BC3). If your initial product purchase is equal to at least 400 points, your order will be automatically distributed among the three Business Centers, with 200 points in Personal Sales Volume placed in BC1, 100 points placed in BC2, and 100 points placed in BC3. This means you will immediately begin with 100 points in both the left and right sides of BC1, so you’ll already be that much closer to getting your first commission check. This is one of the benefits of opening three Business Centers.

Generating or Upgrading to 3 Centers

Six Friday Rule

Personal Sales Position (PSP)

A Personal Sales Position (PSP) is the left or right side of your Business Centers. This allows Associates to place personal orders and have the volume count as Group Volume.

It is just like a regular order out side of the Auto Order or Personal Sales Volume (PSV). Therefore, name of recipient, shipping address, and method of payment can also be changed for these orders upon Associate request.

Group Sales Volume (GSV)

Group Sales Volume (GSV) is the commissionable volume of USANA products generated by an Associate’s team (volume that rolls up on the left and right of their Business Center). This is the volume used when calculating commissions.

GSV does not include the Personal Sales Volume (PSV) of the Associate. (Associate Welcome Kits and sales aids have no sales volume.)

GSV cannot qualify your Business Centers. Only PSV fulfills this requirement.

Auto Order Cycles

Auto Orders can process every four week (28 day) cycle or eight week (56 day) cycle. Auto Orders will process always on a Sunday of the cycle that it is scheduled to process.

There is also the option for an A and B cycle for those that would like the Auto Order to process every four weeks but would like to rotate the items they’ll receive at the time of processing.

All Associates are able to set up an eight week Auto Order. However, it is important to note that you must generate the required Sales Volume every four weeks to remain active. An Associate who places sales every eight weeks via Auto Order must remember to place another sales order between Auto Order processing dates to remain active.

You can download and print a color-coded calendar, available on The Hub in the Forms section, to keep track of your auto order cycle and future processing dates.

Auto Order Normally Processed and Shipped Out

Due to the number of Auto Order orders processed each week, USANA collects payments and prints invoices over the weekends, on Saturdays and Sundays, so that our shipping department can pack orders and ship them on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Auto Order cycles occur every four weeks (28 days) or every eight weeks (56 days).

Because Auto Orders are processed on a reoccurring 28-day or 56-day cycle, we are unable to accommodate customers who would like to keep the release date the same day every month.

If you originally signed up at the end of the week, you may receive your first Auto Order in as little as three weeks. This is because your Auto Order will process on the Sunday of the same 4-week cycle in which you placed your initial order.

There are several ways to find out if your Auto Order has processed.

  1. Call or e-mail customer service
  2. Log in to The Hub and view Team Manager. If your order has been processed, you will see the volume show up as Personal Volume (PV) for the week.
  3. Log in to The Hub and view your order history
    • Click on “Shop & Orders”
    • Click on “Order History”
    • Locate the order you are looking for, and select “More Order Details” to verify your order is complete.

Four-week rolling calendars are also available under the “Tools” section of “My Business”, so you can keep track of your Auto Order cycle release dates.

Personal Sales Volume (PSV)

Personal Sales Volume, often referred to as PSV or PV, is the commissionable value (Sales Volume Points or SVP) of products purchased by an Associate. A certain amount of PSV is required to either qualify* or activate** Business Centers and is only placed on an Associate’s BC1, or the additional Business Center that is being activated.

Orders placed on BC1 do not generate Group Sales Volume (GSV) and SVP over the minimum; 2) is not automatically defaulted to; and 3)  cannot be separated into another placement, such as a PSP (Personal Sales Position), to be counted toward commissions.

If an Associate desires to place orders generating more than the 100 or 200 SVP needed to remain active outside of their BC1, the Associate can place these orders separately in a PSP position in the right or left leg attached to the BC1 (BC1L, BC1R, or below).

Orders placed in PSP positions or other BCs and orders placed by a Preferred Customer do not generate PSV; they generate GSV.
