USANA Foundation

USANA has long been a leader in making a difference in the world. Now the USANA Foundation—a not-for-profit charity founded by Dr. Myron Wentz and Dave Wentz—increases your reach, allowing you to impact the global community in a more profound way.

The mission of the USANA Foundation is to develop a network of communities built on long-lasting, sustainable, and nutritious food.

To accomplish this, the USANA Foundation will accept donations from a variety of sources—Brand Partners, Preferred Customers, employees, the general public, and USANA Health Sciences—and transform those contributions into positive change where it’s needed most. The establishment of the foundation furthers USANA’s philanthropic mission. You will still be able to support previously-established efforts like Children’s Hunger Fund, but the USANA Foundation also allows for a more global reach, giving members of the USANA family in all markets the ability to lend a helping hand and broadening the scope to include additional causes deemed worthy of aid.

The USANA Foundation makes it easy to donate and guarantees your money will be used efficiently and effectively. Not a single penny of your contribution will go to administrative costs—100 percent of every dollar will be committed to helping others. The foundation will also be able to respond quickly to those in urgent need, making your donation as impactful as possible.

All donations to the USANA Foundation may be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor to determine if you are eligible. A list of countries in which the foundation is currently registered for tax-deductible contributions may be found at www.usanafoundation.org.

Changes to a Distributorship Because of Life Events

Marriage

An Associate may request a name change by submitting a new application to USANA with a copy of the marriage certificate.

Associate marrying another Associate- Send a copy of the marriage certificate to USANA Ethics and Training Department.

Divorce

In a divorce situation, USANA will allow one individual to keep the original distributorship and the other to re-enroll immediately, without the usual six-month waiting period. Both parties must agree in writing on all aspects of change to the distributorship in this regard. We ask that you provide a letter of agreement signed by both parties together with a newly executed Associate Application.

Incapacitation and Death

If an Associate passes away or becomes incapacitated, their distributorship (including qualifying for commissions, bonuses, and all Associate responsibilities) may pass to their successor(s). Upon death or incapacitation, the successor(s) must present the USANA Ethics Department with proof of death (a death certificate) or incapacitation (a letter from the distributor’s physician).

Additionally, the successor must provide proof of succession. Some examples could include a will or trust document in the event of death or a Power of Attorney document for incapacitation. These documents should be presented together with a properly completed Associate Application and Agreement. You may inherit and retain another distributorship even though you currently own or operate a distributorship.

Change My Email Address

In order to change your e-Mail address on your main account file, you may make changes online through The Hub or you will need to contact Customer Service. When an e-mail address is changed, it may take up to 24 hours before automated emails from USANA will be directed to the new email address.

To change your email address on The Hub:

  • Click the “My Account” link
  • Select Profile Manager
  • Under Account Settings, click Add/Edit E-Mail Address
    • You may also view and manage your email subscriptions

Non Sufficient Funds – NSF

USANA charges a $20.00 US fee on each returned Non Sufficient Funds (NSF) item. This fee is applied only once for each NSF. Fee is subject to applicable state taxes, which are automatically added when the charge is re-sent through a customer’s account.

NSF charges will not appear on the customer’s credit report, if the matter is resolved with a collection representative here at USANA. However, if reported to an outside collection agency, the NSF charges will likely appear on the customer’s credit report.

Returning products might help clear an NSF on an account; however, USANA Terms & Policies still apply.

Brand Partner Cancellations

When a Brand Partner cancels their distributorship they are no longer authorized to act as a Brand Partner. If they choose, they may re-enroll as a Brand Partner again after waiting 6 months from the date they canceled their original distributorship. At that time, they may enroll in a new position but may not transfer into an existing one.

Once a Brand Partner’s Business Center(s) have been canceled, it cannot be transferred to another Brand Partner.

Brand Partner’s need to send a written and signed letter to cancel. Only the account owner can send the request to authorize the cancellation.

Business License

Often the question is asked as to whether a business license is required to operate a USANA Distributorship.

USANA does not require that its Associates in the United States or Canada obtain a business license. However, certain local governments may require a license depending on the business activities of the Associate. With that in mind USANA suggests Associates with questions contact their local government or personal business legal advisor to determine the applicability of any local regulations to their business.

Building a Downline

Building a Downline or Team Below is not mandatory.

Booths and Trade Shows

Associates may display and/or sell USANA products at trade shows and expositions, but they may not display or sell USANA products at swap meets, garage sales, flea markets, or farmers’ markets as these events are not conducive to the image USANA wishes to portray. All literature displayed at the event must be approved USANA literature and must clearly identify the individual(s) as Independent Associates.
